My name is Kailena Sampson, but you've probably already figured that out by now. If you want to figure out how to pronounce my name though, you'll have to respond to my job application. I was born in Detroit on an undisclosed date and graduated from Michigan State University in 2016 with a Bachelors in Advertising.
After graduating school, I basically took the first job I could get. It was as a programmatic campaign specialist. Aka entry level. This turned out to be an amazing opportunity as the industry pushed more and more into the digital realm. After my first year at an agency, I was ready to take on a bigger challenge, and moved to The Big Apple. It's been 5 years since I moved to NYC. I went from working on $6k annual digital spend clients, to $100+ million per year clients. I went from an associate to an associate director. I went from 5 roommates to 1. It's been a great ride, but I'm ready for my next challenge.
I went back to school for a year and got a Graphic and Digital Design from Parsons. I learned so much in that year. I've always considered myself a creative thinker and now I'm prepared to put the Apple Pen to the iPad and create some stuff.
